How Minority Group Representation Relates to an ‘Acceptable’ and ‘Adaptable’ Education

Throughout this chapter, I have offered excerpts from the research findings, as well as discussion relating to minority group representation in general, which I hope was interesting and informative. However, with every theme, there will be one final step to take—of relating the findings back to the overall research question concerning understandings of education rights obligations in citizenship education. I argue that minority group representation can be seen as a reflection of the obligations outlined in the 2-A framework of an ‘acceptable’ and ‘adaptable’ education. Key areas where the theme maps on to aspects of the framework are described below.
