• chalk pencil

• small piece black felt, such as acrylic, wool, or eco-felt

• clasp pin or safety pin

• white embroidery thread and needle

• stuffing

1 Trace pattern (right) and cut ghost shapes from felt. Place pin in the middle of the back. Using white embroidery thread and a needle, sew it on with a few quick stitches until it feels nice and snug. Knot thread and set aside.

2 For your ghost’s face: Use roughly 10 to 14 stitches for the eyes, 3 to 4 for the mouth, and 2 to 3 for the nose. It’s up to you! Knot thread and cut off excess.

3 Align the two pieces, right sides facing out, and sew together starting at tail. Try a stitch size of about 3 millimeters with a little space between each stitch. Leave a ¾-inch gap.

4 Keeping your needle and thread in place, fill your ghost with stuffing.

5 Stitch up the gap and knot thread on the backside of your new sleepy ghost pal. Happy napping!
