The wrapping wire, shown in turquoise, is worked along the link to the position where you wish to place your beads, then one or more beads are added directly to the wrapping wire and slid into position on the link.

Harriet: The wrapping technique for this piece not only adds beads inside the U-bend of the main link, but also secures the two spiral arms of the link. The extra wrapping wire becomes a small secondary spiral that lies over the main link spiral.

Hazel: Worked from the bottom right toward the top left, this focal design is accented with eight 6mm green cat’s eye beads. One bead is added to the wrapping wire when the wire is threaded through the lower inside simple loop. Four more beads grace the left arm of the triangle, placed on the inside of the arm wire. Three more beads create a cluster in the top left corner, securing the triangle arm to the U-bend of the link. One 3mm red crystal completes the design and is added with a separate fine wire random wrap over the cluster.
