PROJECT NOTES

Read all instructions before beginning this project.

Refer to photo for appliqué and embellishment placement.

All blanket stitching is done with two strands of matching floss. All whipstitching is done with one strand of matching floss.

CUTTING

From dark green wool felt cut:

•4 (2” × 3”) A rectangles

COMPLETING THE ORNAMENTS

1. Prepare templates using the patterns provided. Label right side of each template. Cut reversed shapes by placing template right side down. Cut wool felt according to colors and quantities listed below:

•Dark red felt: 2 each gnome hats and gnome roofs

•Dark green felt: 2 gnome bodies and 1 each bush and bush (reversed)

•Cream felt: 6 roof dots, 2 each gnome beards and windows, 1 each gnome mustache half, gnome mustache half (reversed) and door

•Taupe felt: 2 gnome houses

•Pink felt: 2 gnome noses

Here’s a Tip

You can use small dots of glue instead of pins to hold the embellishments in place before stitching. Just be sure to keep the glue away from the edge where you will be stitching.
