“YOU! ” said Fang and Barkley together.

“Oh, this street rat isn’t good enough to make art?!” snapped Ratzak. “You sound just like my four hundred brothers and sisters. They think I’m getting too big for my boots, but I’ve got just as much right to make art as anyone else. I’m not a fake.”

Fang and Barkley thought about it for a second . . . or three. If Ratzak was telling the truth, he had a point. Anyone can like art. Anyone can make art . . .

But Ratzak?

“Just because you like making art doesn’t make you a fake, Ratzak,” said Barkley. “But a fake is the reason we’re here. Somebody swapped a real Puplo Picasso painting for a fake one at the gallery. What do you know about that?”

Ratzak shrugged. “It wasn’t me!”

Fang wasn’t so sure. If Ratzak had painted all the art in his house, maybe HE was the faker.
