CHAPTER 24: XANDER

Ruby rolled away from me, breathing hard, beads of sweat popping out on her forehead. She yawned, stretching like a lazy cat, spreading those perfect legs. Completely unashamed of her nakedness.

I had to admit I found the wench stunningly beautiful. My gaze traveled from her perky breasts and to that smooth round ass and back to her angelic face.

She still somehow failed to measure up to Vanessa.

Though Vanessa’s tits were smaller as I recalled, and her hips more narrow, she had something else to offer. Her innocence. An enticing naivety held in those large gray eyes.

I watched Ruby.

How could one possibly impress a three-hundred-year-old woman? She had seen and done everything imaginable. Ruby had worked me like a dog until she was completely satisfied. The wench had no shame. I couldn’t impress or submit her, no matter how hard I tried.

Vanessa though… she was a different animal.

I needed someone innocent and unsoiled, just like her. Someone who could admire my strength and accept me as her one and only master.

Vanessa was my dream, while Ruby was my reality.

She licked her lips, gazing at me.

“Tell me you’re not thinking about the fire witch.”

How does she know?

Smiling, I attempted to be charming and seductive.

“I was just thinking about you, Ruby. You’re the only one I need.”

She snorted, rolling her eyes.

“Oh please. Let’s not play games with one another, Xander. The fact we occasionally screw doesn’t mean we have to be in love. I prefer to keep our relationship more business-like. We both know I want Winter, and you desire your fire witch. There’s no need to pretend with me.”

In spite of despising the wench, I felt a certain appreciation. After a tussle in the sheets, most women would expect me to pretend loving them. To follow through with all that romantic nonsense I couldn’t tolerate. Ruby though… she didn’t care about any of that. She was cynical and utterly corrupted, just like me.

In a way, I was beginning to like this cunning bitch. Ruby was a partner in crime. A smart and calculating woman who could offer me advice.

I smiled.

Lucas would be pissed if he knew I was banging his sister.

“You need to gain some leverage,” she said, yawning. “Otherwise, the demon will destroy you.”

“What should I do?”

“Vanessa thought I was her friend.” Ruby smirked. “She told me many secrets. She has a friend in the human world. Julia. You might obtain the wench. You should keep knowledge of her from the demon. As long as you have her friend, Vanessa will be vulnerable.”

I nodded.

“Where can I find the girl?”

“I don’t know.” Ruby said, pulling on her stockings. Looking so unbearably seductive. “You could ask Jezebel. She can locate the bitch.”

In spite of her angelic appearance, Ruby could curse like a soldier.

“Why would Jezebel help me?”

“You’re family.”

“She doesn’t give a damn about me.”

Ruby approached, taking hold of my chin and looking deeply into my eyes.

“Then be like Lucas. Offer Jezebel something she wants. In the end you have to control the fire witch and destroy my brother.
