Frilled edging
This edging is always worked first or as a separate border and sewn on.
Cast on four times the finished number of stitches required.
Row 1 * K2, lift first of these 2 sts over second and off the needle; rep from * to end. (Half the number of sts remain.)
Row 2 * P2tog; rep from * to end. (Finished number of sts.)
Cont in main fabric of garment or cast off.
Double frill
You will need three needles. Work a frilled edging as above followed by 8 rows of st st (ending with a WS row), leave sts on the needle. On another needle, work a second frill followed by 2 rows of st st (ending with a WS row). Place the two needles together with the short frill over the longer frill and both right sides facing the front. Join together by knitting through both sets of sts (see page 25).
