Strike one rock against another and a spark will be produced. Strike it again, this time with more force, and the spark will be larger. When we focus the light of the sun through a magnifying glass (restriction) onto a sheet of paper, the paper eventually lights up in flames. The smaller the point of focus, the greater the restriction is, and the more forceful the revelation or release when the paper begins to burn.

The harder we concentrate on something (restriction by blocking out other thoughts), the more notable the breakthrough in terms of our thinking. Consider the production of sound. The harder a string is struck with a plectrum, the louder the note. The greater the force of compression on a membrane, the more forceful the percussive effect.
