6 Cleaning the Shell

Matty had spoken to both the Cleaner Wrasse and the Bandy Brothers, and settled that whoever was free first would come and clean his new shell.

He was surprised to have a visit from two of the Cleaner Wrasse, Fin and Gumby, shortly after he returned. They were very cross. Fin explained

“Those trevally are driving us nuts. They can’t keep still; just as we see lice on their bodies and are about to move in, they remember something which they had forgotten to tell their friend and they wriggle around. No wonder we find them irritating. Can we do your shell now? We need a break”.
