Chapter 4.....To Kill or Not Kill – That is the $64,000 Question
Going back to what I shared with you in regards to the man who wanted to rape me on the beach, he wanted to rape me, not murder me. This is a REAL important difference. You have to know what your attacker is not only capable of doing, but what their goal is in respect to what they plan on doing to you.
I know it sounds crazy, because for one - who the hell wants to psychoanalyze the creep? You just want to get the hell away from them, right? Well, yes, of course. But how do you intend to do that? And remember, you usually have less than a minute to decide whether or not they have the killer in them.
Because that is the primary decision factor in what course of action to take.
If the would be attacker has it set in their mind to kill you, your actions should greatly differ from the response you would give the attacker who doesn't want to kill you.
The reasoning behind this should be obvious to you, but I will explain anyway. If someone wants to kill you, then for one, your threatening them with your own death just won't work.
The complete persona of the attacker whose goal is to kill is on an entirely different level. That's obvious, as they are in it for life or death – namely yours. For them, it's more than a game, or a way for them to satisfy some sick sexual thing, it's their whole existence.
So, if the attacker is a killer, and that is their primary motive for the attack, I truly wish I had something better to say than this: get a gun and a concealed weapons permit. That is your best defense.
NOTE:
This next chapter kind of takes us into another format, it's a short chapter about my chance encounter with someone who had(s) the killer in them. I know this book isn't about me, it's about empowering you, but it's necessary for me to let you know why I believe myself to be quite knowledgeable regarding the subjects I am writing about. And every one of these experiences I'm relating shows survival skills in action. (some of which I wouldn't recommend trying) So read, and be glad you are just reading about it, and didn't have to live it, because none of this is fiction – I did live it.
