The dull morning light filtered slowly into the shed. Stewie waited for the scuffling and scratching sound of Bugzy, his pet rat.

“Come on, sleepyhead,” Stewie said. He bent down and lifted up the little white rat, holding him at face level. “We’ve work to do. Tonight, you and I are going to dance with the stars.”

Bugzy twitched his whiskers and felt uncomfortable, though he couldn’t say why.

It took Stewie a couple of hours to find all the bits that he needed for his Super Star Rocket. When no one was looking, he did a lot of hunting and searching in the shed, and in the yard outside. He crept about inside the shop amongst the boxes of old tools, toys, pots and pans, keeping away from his parents and the customers.
