God Announces Messiah, probably on 7 BC-03-30

The yearlong “Star of Bethlehem” episode starts with the angel Gabriel visiting Mary to tell her that she would become the mother of Jesus the Messiah saying, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end” (Luke 1:28–33).

Mary answered, “I am the Lord’s servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.” (Luke 1:38).

Before Gabriel left Mary, he mentioned that Elizabeth, Mary’s cousin, was also going to have a child, and she who was said to be unable to conceive because of old age is already in her sixth month (Luke 1:36). From this, we can conclude that Elizabeth was already six months pregnant with John the Baptist when Mary was impregnated with the seed of God Almighty to become the mother of Jesus the Messiah.

We know nothing about the time of Mary’s conception, but we can speculate that it was when the angel Gabriel visited her. We can also speculate that the time of that visit was shortly after the beginning of 7 BC, about three months prior to God’s Announcement Sign on 7 BC-03-30. What do you think?

Birth of John the Baptist

According to Holy Scripture, John the Baptist was the one who was to come before Jesus the Messiah to prepare the way. As such, he would have been kind of an advance man for the star. So John’s birth was significant and we can speculate that it would have warranted a significant sign. According to our reading of the Bible, it would seem that John the Baptist was born two or three or maybe four months after Gabriel’s visit with Mary.

So if Gabriel’s announcement visit was 7 BC–03-30, then John the Baptist could have been born in May or June of that year. Can we speculate that the birth of John the Baptist was at the time of the Optimum Preceding Sign on 7 BC–05-23? What do you think?

Birth of Jesus the Messiah, probably on 7 BC-09-28

If John the Baptist was already in Elizabeth’s womb for six months when Gabriel visited Mary to announce that she would become the mother of the Messiah, then John the Baptist would be about six months older than Jesus the Messiah. So can we speculate that the birth of Jesus the Messiah was about the time of the Optimum Everlasting Sign on 7 BC–09-28. What do you think?

Escape to Egypt, probably on 6 BC-03-05

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his sign when it rose and have come to worship him” (Matthew 2:1).
