Another way to enhance this shape is to add notes three frets higher than the home position. Look at the diagram and you’ll see that the intervals this creates are notes that keep the minor flavour, so they will work fine.

A common idea you’ll see using this shape is moving up three frets on the second and third strings for some bluesy tension, before going back down to the position covered in the last examples to bring it home.
