Although the cliff face has been painted to represent weathered rock, it will benefit from some more weathering, and AK Interactive pigments and enamels are perfect for this type of work. Although they are designed with the weathering of vehicles in mind, they are more than suitable for use on scenery. Fresh Mud, Earth Effects, Slimy Grime Light and Dark Enamels, European Earth and Dark Earth pigments can all be used to subtly weather the cliff.

The weathering pigments are applied using small paintbrushes. Vertical strokes work well as they give the impression of the action of rainwater and other elements, which over time leave streaks on the rock (Fig. 157).
