CHOOSING FABRICS
LOG CABIN STRIPES You can acquire these fabrics in several ways. I used stripes from my stash, so the amounts varied. Suffice it to say that the shortest strips are cut 6¾˝ and the largest are 16½˝ (20–45 cm). When using scraps, cut from the largest pieces to the smallest for an economical yield. It is possible to use a wide variety of stripes from 2 colors to multiple colors, wide to narrow and everything in between. The fact that they are stripes will do a lot to hold the quilt together.
