Larry could clearly see that the wheels of the truck were broken and that it was too badly damaged to carry on.

Just then Max came down from the top deck to see if he could help.

“Larry! Seeing as we’re off to the museum, why don’t we tie the bone to your roof and take it with us? Digby can then move the broken down lorry out of the way and free up the road.” he smiled.

“Great idea!” said Larry as he asked some of the other passengers to help.

Three of the passengers left the bus to help the lorry driver. They all gathered around the huge bone with one at each end and one on either side.

“Okay!” said Max. “On the count of three we’re all going to lift very slowly. Be extra careful though because it’s very old and very fragile. We don’t want to break it! One, two, three. Heave!”

They all carefully lifted the bone from the back of the lorry and placed it safely into Digby’s bucket.
