7. Cut out some leaves from your felt scraps, and sew them to the backs of your finished flowers using a tiny whipstitch. Again, this stitching won’t be visible in the finished scarf.

8. Attach the flowers to the scarf by applying a little fabric glue to the back of each flower and pressing it into place on the scarf. Allow the glue to dry. Then attach the outside edges of each petal to the scarf using a tiny whipstitch.

You can always make a sweater-flower brooch or two to embellish your favorite sweater. Wool felt is also a lovely fabric for Kanzashi—here’s a scarf that’s decorated with cheery wool felt flowers.
