Rattlesnake by Maria Shell, 2016, 37˝ × 54˝

This quilt combines the shapes from Triangles and Short-Row Stripes. To make the short rows for this quilt, I used sixteen fabrics cut into strips 1˝–2˝ × the width of the fabric. I cut them again into 5˝-long short rows, which I stitched together. This yielded a piece of fabric that was 5˝ × 90˝.

This quilt is made entirely with Mod Basics Solid Poplins from Birch Fabrics. The colors and the feel of the fabric are divine.
