• 2 yards of cream solid fabric

• 2 yards of brown solid fabric

• 26 fat quarters of coordinating prints

• 4 yards of backing

• 8 strips 2½″ × width of fabric for binding

• 78″ × 84″ of batting

Cutting Instructions

From the cream solid:

Cut 4 strips 2¾″ × 65½″.

Cut 260 squares 2½″ × 2½″ for the Flying Geese border

Cut 8 strips 1½″ × 2½″ for the 4 corners.

Cut 8 strips 1½″ × 4½″ for the 4 corners.

From the brown solid:

Cut 2 strips 2″ × 62½″.

Cut 2 strips 2½″ × 65½″.

Cut 4 strips 1½″ × 65½″.

Cut 4 strips 1¼″ × 65½″.

Cut 4 squares 2½″ × 2½″ for the 4 corners.

In total, from the fat quarters:

For the hexagons:

Cut 36 lots of 11 squares 3½″ × 3½″. (Cut 11 squares from the same print, and then cut 11 more squares from a second print; repeat to make 36 lots of 11 squares. Some prints will repeat.)

Cut 2 lots of 10 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 1 lot of 9 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 1 lot of 8 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 2 lots of 7 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 2 lots of 6 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 1 lot of 5 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 1 lot of 4 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 2 lots of 3 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 2 lots of 2 squares 3½″ × 3½″.

Cut 1 square 3½″ × 3½″.

For the Flying Geese border:

Cut 130 rectangles 2½″ × 4½″.

For the scrappy strips:

Cut the leftover scraps into pieces 2″ wide for the 2 scrappy strips.
