Winter and frost resistant plants –

These include perennial vegetable plants, like asparagus, rhubarb, horseradish, and garlic. These also include members of the onion family like leeks. Spinach, and collards can withstand frost up to -10°C.

Cold resistant plants.

These are biennial root crops, which include beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, onions, spinach and other leafy greens. These plants can withstand temperatures up to 1°C, for a long time and frosts of -5°C and lower for a few days.
