I want to give you two powerful examples from Scripture of how the devil conquered two precious people who knew God and had a relationship with Him—and it is not because God is weak. God is all-powerful. In each of these stories, the vessels were weak in spirit and never surrendered their weaknesses to God so they could be healed and set free.

The first example is Saul. Saul was handpicked by God to be the first king of Israel, with a tremendous calling and responsibility for that ministry. Saul started out by obeying God and the prophet Samuel. He was walking the walk and running his race. But somehow the enemy tripped him up, and it all started with disobedience. Disobedience opened the door to the enemy.
