9. When you are ready to get the loops off your fingers, pull the yarn about 22 inches from your hand and cut it. Thread the end of this yarn through the four loops on your fingers. Remove the loops from your fingers and pull tight on the tail. Leave the tail in place——you’ll use this piece to make the hangman’s knot.

10. Lay the belt on a flat surface and make a fold in the belt 8 inches from the end.

11. Wrap the tail piece around both sections of the belt ten times.

12. Thread the tail onto a yarn needle and sew the yarn under the wrapped sections.

13. While this also makes a fetching scarf or trendy necklace, I would strongly encourage you not to wear it too tight.
