The Community Narrative

The community of the upper middle class is the comfortable home, the country club and the yacht club, the school, the selective college, and the company or professional office. Because we live in a globalized world and because much of globalization is in fact the internationalization of business, many Meadowbrook graduates can expect to lead lives of power and influence in the world. Their larger community is the network of corporate offices that ring the globe and control the flow of money. Life at the top is very different from life at the bottom or in the middle. For many members of the upper middle class, the globe is their playground. Private jets fly them to work and play, and when they arrive on distant shores, a limousine awaits.
