Elsewhere, it is Isaiah who prays, a theme that reintroduces a religious feeling. But behind him, Night appears, in the guise of a young woman of a tall and elegant build. In an odd contrast, around her pagan face, brushing her naked shoulders, a Christian nimbus is forming, while she holds above her head a veil studded with stars, whose light fabric is billowing in the breeze. On the other side, a young child – a wingless Eros – holds a torch and represents the Dawn.
