2. At the neck edges, turn the seam allowance to the inside. Working from the right side and using a twin needle, stitch 3⁄8" (1 cm) from the neck edges.

Sew Shoulder Seams

3. With right sides together, stitch the shoulder seams. Press the seam allowances open. Fold each shoulder gusset on the fabric fold line, wrong sides together, and press. Lay the gussets under the neck edges, from each seam mark (seam numbers 4 and 5) to the shoulder seam. Edgestitch in place (figure 2).
