Hypocrites

The poets who write merely for the sake of writing, who like to hear their own words bouncing off the thin veneer of the social constructs they have created for themselves, and who obscure the true breadth and depth of the matters they are referring to, are like souls lost in a maze of formless valleys: “And the poets, it is those straying in evil who follow them. Do you not see that they wander distracted in every valley? And that they say what they practise not?” (26:224-226) As they drift like tumbleweed through endless trends, playing with words, following every vain thought and whim, letting themselves be pulled along by their ever-changing desires, leading their readers and listeners to waft right along with them, they are actually deprived of all authenticity in their opinions, words, and actions—becoming simple manufacturers and packagers of a false reality to which countless others become pointlessly committed, and thereby terribly lost.
