Chapter Seventeen
âHow has the week been? Did your presentation go well?â Mika found herself wanting to know how Jen felt before, during, and after sex. The look on Jenâs face, coupled with her bodyâs response, told her everything she wanted to know.
âI think it went well.â Jenâs eyes grew excited like they always did when talking about English literature. âThe dean spoke to me afterward and Iâm one step closer to tenure.â
I have to look that up. Mika didnât want Jen to find out she didnât know what the word tenure meant. It was silly, really, for her to be concerned Jen would think poorly of her, but still, she was already outclassed and sometimes asking made her feel more so. âThatâs great. Iâm happy for you.â She was happy for Jen, but the sudden interest in a woman outside of the bedroom, even for the women sheâd been with, was something she never thought about before. Jenâs voice roused her.
âDid you have any quizzes this week?â
âNothing is due until Thursday when I have to hand in a report on muscle tone and its importance.â
âWhy is it important?â
It was her turn to get excited. âMuscle tone is the continuous and passive partial contraction of the muscles, or the muscleâs resistance to passive stretch during resting state. It helps to maintain posture and balance.â
Jenâs eyes grew. âDid you read that somewhere?â
âYes. Itâs in my text.â
âSo you memorize everything you read?â
Her face warmed. âI donât plagiarize, if thatâs what youâre asking.â
âNo, no. Do you read something multiple times until you remember it?â
She relaxed. âNo. I read it once and it just kinda sticks.â Jenâs eyes became distant. She didnât want to hear what that nugget of information meant. Sheâd done enough self-analysis for a while. Time to change the subject.
âWhatâs the most unexpected thing that happened this week?â Mika asked.
Jenâs cheeks pinked before answering. âI shoved my fingers deep into my pussy.â
She tried to school the surprise from her expression and sat back to consider the response. With each encounter, Jen had begun to grow bolder. She was still shy at times when they undressed though Jen pushed through her discomfort, but even being able to talk about masturbating was a big step. It was time to introduce Jen to more variety in their sex play and sheâd bought some things for just such an occasion. Tonight would be the first one of what she hoped would be many.
âDo you ever use toys?â
âI have, but not lately.â
Mika leaned forward. âWhat is your favorite?â Learning what Jen was comfortable with would help her expand her variety.
Jen fidgeted. âGod, how do you talk about this like itâs nothing?â
âOh, itâs not nothing, but itâs common enough to be discussed openly among lesbians. Just like when we talk about what you want me to do for you, and to you.â
âFine. My vibrator.â Jen giggled nervously.
âHave you tried others?â Mikaâs center was slick with desire thinking about what they were going to do.
âNot really, but someday Iâd like to.
