When learning “My Heart Will Go On,” attend to the phrasing: All of the notes that are slurred (indicated by curved lines connecting two or more notes) should be played smoothly connected, one note to the next. Be sure to observe each of the slurs, and although there are some dynamic markings indicated throughout the piece, you might also try adding some of your own. For example, try playing more loudly as you ascend within each phrase and more quietly as you descend. Use the pedal throughout, listening carefully to completely clear the sound each time you lift and depress the pedal.
