Chapter 6: Bondage and Different Types to Try
Bondage is probably one of the most popular forms of BDSM. However, lots of times it isnât just for sexual pleasure. There are different types of bondage to try, and weâll go over what those are, and even how to do it, along with some tips to make it awesome for you, and your partner.
Japanese Bondage
While you may be familiar with bondage in terms of holding another person in an enclosure or strapped to something, there is also Japanese bondage as well. This is a very popular type of bondage where you have the partner tied up in a very intricate and amazing pattern, all through the use of rope. Lots of times, this is more of an artistic means of holding a person in a bound, and itâs actually an art form rather than just restraint. Itâs quite pretty.
It takes a little bit of time to learn it, but itâs something you can learn and master in no time.
Leather Bondage
One thing youâve probably seen when looking at bondage is well, leather. Leather, whether it be in the clothing, or even in the restraints, is something that many people like in terms of restraints.
Theyâre much stronger than say silk, and they donât leave marks like rope does. Itâs a popular form of restraint that many like to use, and that, combined with other forms of leather items such as clothing and paddles, does make for a great addition to any scene. If you are someone who is a bit conscious of the animals, you can always get the vegan friendly options, or a faux leather to make up for this.
Mummification
Mummification is wrapping or, creating a mummy sort of part on the body, and itâs a form of confining movement, and even limiting the sensory experience with this. You can use plastic wrap, rubber, fabric, or even saran wrap. This can create an interesting simulation, but always make sure you leave an area open for the person to breathe.
Why bondage?
Why is bondage so attractive to people? Well, people like it for various different types of reasons. For starters, being bound allows for some people to relax and calm down. It helps to reduce the insecurity and the worry that might be there typically, and it allows the person to have some pleasure without having to worry about giving back.
Some like the idea of struggle too, because it gives you some adrenaline, and it can be a bit thrilling.
Some also like the idea of blindfolding with bondage, because it will heighten your other sensations, and it does give a thrill of power. The person who ties the other up does have the feelings of power as well, and it can be quite attractive.
You may be curious about what to try initially. Well, there are some various means to do so, and weâll discuss for first-timers what you should do.
Remember, some people think that bondage is all about whips and chains, but thatâs not the case. Itâs something that does exist there, but you donât have to do that.
