Make one for every multiple of 4 stitches along each side, plus one more for each side, plus one for each corner.

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with slip st to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 3, sc in next sc; rep from * around, omitting last sc, join with slip st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

EDGING

Base rnd, each side: Multiple of 4 + 1 + corner sts.

Begin 2 sts to left of corner st.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st, Bead Stitch in next st, sc in next st, *ch 1, skip 1 st, [sc in next st, Bead Stitch in next st, sc in next st, ch 1, skip 1 st] to corner st; (sc, Bead Stitch, sc) in corner st — corner group made; rep from * around, ending skip 1 st, join with sc to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3, Join Flower, ch 3, sc) in space formed by joining sc, *[sc in next 3 sts, (sc, ch 3, Join Flower, ch 3, sc) in next ch-1 space] to corner group, sc in next sc, (sc, ch 3, Join Flower, ch 3, sc) in corner st, sc in next sc**, (sc, ch 3, Join Flower, ch 3, sc) in next ch-1 space; rep from * around, ending last rep at **, join with slip st to first sc. Fasten off.
