WHAT CAN WE CONCLUDE?

• Oral tradition was reliable.

• It was always God's will for His revelations to be written down, and this took place under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

• The New Testament Gospels cannot be discredited by accusations of bias on the part of the writers.

• Archaeology provides powerful support for the reliability of the Bible.

• There is both Christian and secular extrabiblical support for the Bible.

• The Bible has been accurately transmitted via manuscript copies through the centuries.

• The variants in the biblical manuscripts do not pose a serious problem, and do not affect a single tenet of the Christian faith.

• The New Testament Gospels are all dated prior to A.D. 70, very close to the timing of the events on which they report.

• The biblical books that comprise the Old and New Testaments are canonical.
