9 Alternatively, place two puffs, right sides together. Take 3â4 stitches close together through the folded edges of both puffs.

12 As a variation, slip a small circle of fabric inside the puff before pulling up the gathering thread.
The longer the running stitches used for the gathering, the smaller the opening at the centre will be. Conversely, using tiny running stitches will result in a larger opening at the centre.
