This warm-up could be seen as an inverted ten-stroke roll plus an inverted 6 stroke roll that makes one bar of 1/16ths in 4/4.

You can use this warm-up to create blazing snare and tom fills. For example, when playing this pattern with a right-hand lead we will play all right-hand accents on the floor tom. Each left-hand can be played on another tom to start with.

This exercise also works well when you substitute the accents for crash and bass drum combinations.

Suggested BPM range: 90-190

21: Hyper-Bolero
