Build a Mini Vegetable Can Stove

This vegetable can stove idea is very similar in nature to the brick rocket stove we just talked about with the difference being that, instead of using bricks or cinder blocks to make the stove, you’re going to use a typical vegetable can (e.g. a can of corn or green beans) and a few smaller tomato paste cans.

Another big difference is that this vegetable can stove isn’t quite as sturdy as a brick rocket stove would be, nevertheless, it is significantly more portable by design. Realize, too, that you don’t have to use a vegetable can to make such a stove, many people make them out of larger #10 tin cans.

Regardless, I stuck with this idea because it’s ideal for boiling small cups of water for coffee and whatnot using only a few twigs. I once made one out of a can of green beans and two tomato paste cans just to see how easy it was, and it worked too:
