“I accuse—her!”

“Stormy weather,” said the radio newscaster cheerfully, several days later. “A storm center moving slowly from the northwest has already caused flash floods in some states... We can expect thunderstorms and heavy rain with winds around thirty miles an hour... Should reach here in the next twelve hours. Unpack your umbrellas.”

“You’d never guess it,” Danny said, looking up from his breakfast and out the kitchen window. The sky was clear and blue, the air still and warm.
