Thirty-Five

Natural Habitat

“So, where are we going?” I ask Adonis as soon as I step into his car. He called me this morning and just said to get ready, he would be picking me up soon. I looked him over and saw his attire, he was wearing a black compressed short sleeve shirt and grey loose shorts. With the shirt he was wearing, you can see the outline of all his defined muscles. He turns his head towards me after pulling out of the driveway, “We’re going to work out.” He sped down the street and I looked at him perplexed, “I don’t know if you knew this, but uh…I don’t work out.” He chuckles, “Yeah, I know you don’t but I do.” There was music playing in the background, it was loud enough where you can hear it but also where you can talk freely. I lean back into my chair, actually kinda excited to watch him work out. “Since when do you work out exactly?” He turns down a street, then answers me, “Pretty much everyday, I normally work out around dawn.” My eyes widened, “Why so early?” He reaches over putting his free hand on my leg that was covered in my yoga pants. He shrugs his shoulders and says, “It’s just what I always do. I didn’t go so early today so I could go with you.” I put my hand on top of his and interlace our fingers while my hand was on top of his. I love how he wants to spend time with me, it puts a smile on my face. “You just love to show off. “ I say teasingly and he turns his face towards mine grinning. He turns his hand over and grabs my hand in his, the right way, my stomach doing a flip at his movement. I look around as he parks after a few minutes in the back of the rundown shopping center where The Undergrounds was. I look at him questioningly, “What are we doing here?” He tilts his head towards the building, “This is where I work out.” I nod and open my door to step out but he stops me pulling on my hand a little. I turn towards him and he presses his lips to mine in a sweet kiss. He pulls away, releasing my hand too and we both step out of the car. As I meet him at his side of the car, he grabs my hand and leads me towards the entrance. He unlocks it with a key and opens the door. We walk and he closes the door behind us. We walk down the steep staircase, hand in hand, him still leading the way.

It's so crazy how he has a key to this place, Benjamin really does trust him. We step down and go through a hallway, we reach the locker rooms, there is only dim light in this room where you can see around the silver lockers. Also, to the far corner there were individual showers with curtains.
