Conclusion
This closes the loop of a set of functionalities which leads to thinking as I understand it. I have presented examples so you can observe them for yourself and have speculated on biologically plausible mechanisms which could implement them in neurons.
I believe this set of functionalities is sufficient to create an AGI system which will appear to have real-world intelligence. Next, I contend that when you observe how such an AGI acts, that it will appear to be a conscious entity with free will.
