They took Johannes to court, and asked the judge to make Johannes pay back the money.

The judge listened to the family’s story. The two brothers of the dead man complained that their dead brother had given a great deal of money to Johannes and received nothing in return. Then Johannes told his side of the story. He talked about his bad luck with the mirrors that could not be sold. He explained that he was making something special, and that the money was spent on his special project. The mysterious project wasn’t complete yet. He needed more time!

The judge decided that Johannes had not done anything dishonest. The lost money was not his fault. He did not have to repay anything.
