Throughout the past seven years, we have been graced by God to experience turnarounds in our national governance of an unprecedented magnitude. Further, the Lord has consistently given us insight and courage to prophesy these turnarounds before they ever materialized.

Is God just in a mood to show off? Are the turnarounds granted simply to prove the prowess of our prophetic words?

By no means. Again, our nation was established in covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ. This means that the thrones of our national governance belong to Him by covenant. And as we come into alignment with His covenant, we can serve as watchmen to unleash His purposes. Establishing covenant with Christ divorced from “the snake,” in other words from historic idolatry, is key to unlocking His transformation within our spheres.

Years ago, at Jesus’ direction, we came into covenant with Him over the White House and executive branch of our government as part of our overarching covenant for our nation and for Israel. We’ve found it to be true that covenant unlocks the fullest measure of intimacy, authority, and provision necessary to release His Kingdom within our respective spheres.

That’s why David had to restore the ark of the covenant before even pitching his tent for 24/7 worship. He first had to realign his nation with the foundations of God’s covenant.

Centuries later, Isaiah the prophet referenced David’s move of restoration when he declared, “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning” (v. 1). Isaiah went on to share how desolation would break when Israel’s sons and daughters came into covenant with Him for the land.

It will no longer be said to you, “Forsaken,” nor to your land will it any longer be said, “Desolate”; but you will be called, “My delight is in her,” and your land, “Married”; for the Lord delights in you, and to Him your land will be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you on your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen. All day and all night they will never keep silent (Isaiah 62:4–6).

In other words, God has set watchmen on our walls in covenant with Him to release His redemption over their respective spheres. Here is the ultimate secret to watchman prayer that transforms the inheritance the Lord assigns to you.

With this, let’s now come into covenant with God just as Isaiah described. The prayer below serves as a good guideline. Consider receiving communion as you pray.

Father God, I desire to relate to You and serve You as a White House watchman. Please direct me. Show me the sphere which You’re calling me to keep watch over, and how to release Your Kingdom transformation within it. Lord, please keep watch with me and through me. Right now, I come into covenant with You for this sphere.
