Chapter 22
Tip was just getting off of work. Since she had been working she was saving her money. The day finally came last month, and she purchased her first set of wheels. The loved the feeling of independence. Sometimes she would tell her parents she had to work, but instead she would be chilling with her new boy toy she met three months ago. His name was Joseph Butler.
Tip loved the way he treated her. The only problem he had with her was she wouldn’t put out. She only would give him some head, and he would do her. This was one man she was for sure going to keep a secret from the world. She didn’t want the same thing to happen that happened with Will.
Tip still thought of Will every now and then. It had been a year since the situation with Brandy. She had forgiven her sister, but she would never forget. Payback was a bitch, and it was almost that time for her to inflict it. She said her goodbyes to her coworkers and left Burger King.
Tip hopped into her car and started the engine. Her first stop was to the Walgreens to pick up her pictures she had dropped off. While driving, she shot Joseph a quick text telling him she would be by his house in a few before she headed home.
Tip dialed a couple numbers and then placed the phone to her ear waiting for the caller to answer. “Hey.”
“What’s good?” The caller spoke.
“You ready for tomorrow night?” Tip questioned.
“Yeah, but I’m unsure of what it is you want me to do.” The caller said.
“When I get up to announce the birthday girl you just do what it is I already told you to do. We will start playing the DVD, and then you do it!” Tip snapped.
“Ok, damn, lil momma you don’t have to raise your voice. A nigga got it. Just make sure you got my money.” The caller fussed.
“Oh, I got your money so don’t worry about that,” Tip reassured.
“Look, I’m not trying to get in your business or anything but why is this so important to you?” The call asked.
“Usually when people start a sentence off with ‘I’m not trying to get in your business’ mean you are. Let me worry about why this is important to me and you just worry about making my sister’s birthday the best one she will ever have.” Tip ended the call without another word.
She pulled into the Walgreens parking lot to retrieve her pictures. Now she was on her way to go see Joseph. She checked her clock on her dashboard. She could see she had already been off work going on an hour and had to get home. She pulled on the side of Joseph’s house and then killed her engine. She pulled out her cell phone and shot him a text message letting him know she was outside. He quickly texted her back telling her to come to the back door.
