Prayer of Commitment

Father, these are good words for us, where our minds and hearts are renewed by Your Word and receive them. It’s all true. As Your children we need to guard our behavior in the midst of trials. God, help us. We need to grace our relationships. Most of all, Lord, we want to bring glory to You. We want people to see the reality of who You are. It’s all that will matter to us a hundred years from today. So give us that focus—not on the past, not on the future. “Sufficient for the day are the cares of today” (Matthew 6:34).

And we entrust ourselves to You, faithful Creator. Give us strength to keep doing good. Amen.
