Muffin went and picked up Amina so that she could stop by the club to see Randy. She wanted her to go so that she wouldn’t have to stay long. She parked out front and got out.

“Call my phone if I’m not out in ten minutes and say that you’re hungry or something,” Muffin said to Amina.

“Girl, I don’t see why you going in here anyway. Then you got me in the middle of your mess,” Amina said.

“Oh let’s not talk about putting somebody in the middle of some mess,” Muffin snapped back, causing Amina to smack her teeth.

“Just hurry up, shit,” fussed Amina.

Muffin walked into the building looking around, admiring how beautiful it was set up. Randy always did a great job when it came to what he did, so she wasn’t surprised. The building was decked out in majestic gold and purple. Matching drapes were hanging from the ceiling. She continued to walk through on to the back and to his office. The door was open, she tapped lightly. He looked up and a big smile came across his face.

“Miss Layla, come in, you can close the door behind you,” he said, getting up from behind the desk. Muffin closed the door and walked over to him. He stood in front of her smelling and looking good.

“I see you decided to come and see me. You looking good,” he said eyeing her.

“Thanks, you don’t look too bad yourself,” she said back. Whenever she was around him, she became shy and lost for words. She didn’t know if it was a bad or good thing.

“I know I said it over the phone, but I want to apologize again to your face about Desirae. We’re done, but she can’t seem to understand that. You’re not the only woman she’s done this too, you’re just the only one I cared so much about,” he said, grabbing her hand, pulling her in closer to him.

“You think you so slick,” she said smiling, “you talk a good game Mr. Randy.”

“No game, I’m really feeling you. You left so fast that night you didn’t give me a chance to show you how much.”

“How is having sex with me showing me how much you care? You can do that in other ways,” Muffin replied with a half smile, but she was serious.

“I know and I want to be able to do that too. You don’t feel the connection I feel when we’re around each other?” he kissed her hand.

“I feel the connection, but I don’t know. We both have so much going on. We need to clear all of that first and if it’s still something there after that, then we can see where it goes. But honestly, I came here to tell you that I’m working on my relationship with Ralo,” Muffin added and she saw a flash of anger in Randy’s eyes. It scared her a little.

“Work on what? I think he made it clear plenty of times that he’s not ready to give you what I can.
