I am going to share some incidents that were enlightening. After I started my road to healing, my family started attending services in a nearby town, where one of the most loving pastors that I have ever met started a church. One day I was standing by the door of the church, and a woman who was angry at the leadership walked out. As she walked out, she said some words that were a quote from the Bible as a judgment against the church. At the time, I didn’t realize the significance of what she said. After I learned more about the occult, I realized that she had spoken a curse over the church. It was not long until the church closed. Several members became ill. One family lost their son to cancer. The youth leader committed suicide. The list goes on. Some may say that this is coincidence, but I don’t believe that. It is one of many instances that I can look back in my life and see the results of curses.

Another time, I attended a conference with my husband. When we got there, a number of leaders at the conference were praying and laying hands on a woman entering ministry. I grabbed my husband’s hand and whispered that something was wrong. After we returned to our hotel room, I told my husband that I heard the Lord speak to me to pray for each of those leaders, because the woman that they had laid their hands on was cursing them with death. We prayed and spoke the Word of God that those people would live and not die and would declare the works of the Lord. Praise God - they are all alive. The sad news is every one of them experienced severe health problems, some involving surgery. If I had told those people what a heard, they would have thought that I was a nut (and I would have understood, because they were precious people who were anointed of God, and I am sure that they all operate in the gift of discernment). My point is that there are many things that Satan has been able to cloak in the churches that most people would not have believed possible.

The good news is that, through prayer, these evil works can be stopped. Never doubt that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is all powerful – Satan has been defeated, and we have been given authority to bind his power in the Name of Jesus. You need to meditate on these scriptures:

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
