Astral Wer

Werewolf Pack Astral Temple Gathering Rite

Werewolf magick is about astral, etheric or energetic, lycanthropic magickal activity or work.

Much of the work mentioned so far has been etheric or energetic, working with the spiritual essence or energetic wolf-self, wearing that etheric shapeshift skin and shifting mental modality. Astral work is free of the ego and of the physical and even mental bodies. In dream, we can activate and build awareness into our werewolf form and actually become it and move or work with it out of the body. This is called the Double 29 and is often molded into a wolfish form and used to travel astrally. Mastering work with the Double in this way aids greatly the magick of astral projection and sending our wolfish spirit self out for distance viewing or working with various energy forces and beings out-of-body.

Set Up

This is one of those workings that may be done in dream or trance states with some preparation and focus. If you are well-versed in astral projection or distance viewing, it can be done in a secure protective circle or temple of your choice.

There is a special place on the astral plane and in dreamtime for werewolves and wolf-shifters to gather and bond, dance, communicate, make love, play, or tussle as they will.

I have been there. It is quite clear and easy to visualize for those versed in werewolf magick, and when you find it you will know.

Only those in wer or wolf form are welcome and human-forms may be scared away, chased or, I’m guessing, possibly eaten!

Items Needed

A visible full moon is best.

A safe place that is warm, comfortable and in darkness.

A time when you will be completely undisturbed, a safe quiet place, with

fresh air.

A trance, liminal or dream state.

A simple ritual to protect your space and your body.

Three clear glasses.

A glass container of moonwater (water that has spent the night under a full or near full moon or which was charge in an applicable ritual 30 ) used for:

Two glasses of pure water on either side of your resting or trance space.

One glass of pure water is nearby with lemon in it to drink later and some chocolate.

Whatever werewolf charm or talisman you have already created.

A werewolf power candle 31 or another candle that’s been charged (unless you are doing dreamwork)

A mental image of the Moon tarot card.
