As soon as I get home, I write about this day in my memory journal. I write about how the four of us were able to spend the day together and no one got their feelings hurt, how we worked together to make the most delicious snack, how we scraped our jars till there was nothing left. This is a memory I never want to forget. I am already excited about going back to Amanda’s for our Friendship Thanksgiving sleepover. I think about how much fun we are going to have and decide that for our cooking lesson, I’ll teach them a holiday recipe. Maybe we’ll make my award-winning sugar cookies. I’ll never admit it to anyone, but I’m glad Red won’t be there. Spending time with her today was fine, but it will be nice to just have me, KiKi, and Amanda together like old times.

I think about KiKi asking who is my best best friend and I wonder what Amanda would say if I asked her that question. She sure does like having Red around. Maybe she feels the same way I do about her and KiKi. It’s impossible to choose. Maybe some questions are better off not being asked.
