Chorus Two
One Change coming!
Two Change coming!
One I swear, we can change something.
Three We change nothing.
Two Change is puffing up its chest.
One Change is jumping to its death.
Three Change is running,
One Short of breath,
Two Change is falling.
Three Change is calling on its people,
Two Changeâs people are not talking.
One Nothing changes. You walk around the city,
Two Stare at strangers,
One You might notice an expression on a friend you known for ages,
Two But itâs hopeless,
Three We canât keep each other safe,
One We can barely focus.
Three We just want to live a little,
Two And whatâs living if it doesnât kill you?
Three Every atom in us screams at us to let our hearts out,
One But itâs easier to
Two Pass out
One Than to fall asleep peacefully.
Three If weâre lying to each other, we donât mean it deceitfully â
Two Weâre nothing more than rag and bone,
One We close our eyes
Three And stagger home,
One While the groaning timbers in the windows seem to brag and moan â
Three They say, âwell, you look older
Two But you havenât grown.â
One We see our faces slide across the pane,
Three We look away,
One Nothing for it,
Two Bosh your brain to glory,
Three Same old story
One And it shows no sign of
Three Ending.
One Coz thereâs a whole night ahead of us,
Two Ours for the befriending,
Three And no matter what our brains beg of us,
One Our hearts are ripe for the tempting.
Three See,
One When youâre sick of being trodden down
Three You reach for your ascension in the nonsense that you swallow down.
Two We just wanna find some
One Substance
Two In this hollow town.
One It doesnât matter that tomorrowâs round the corner if youâre sorrows drowned tonight,
Two At least thatâs something,
One And how can we be blamed when every dayâs the same?
Two We just want to lose our names and our edges.
One We just want to lose our minds
Three And lose the lines that draw the borders.
Two The shadows haunt the corners,
Three No oneâs gonna laugh at you if no one knows your tortured.
Two We want to change,
One But change aborted becomes strange
Three And we are taunted by the same old repetitions,
Two We grin,
One But our smiles are contorted,
Three And we forget our epiphany
One The minute that we thought it.
