The show tonight was fucking electric. It’s one of those rare nights where everything just clicks, and the crowd’s energy feeds ours. I live for that feeling. But as much as I thrive being on stage, nothing compares to having my girl there watching me.

I find Monroe after the show, and she practically glows, telling me how amazing it was. Her smile and pride soothe away the usual post-show adrenaline crash that hits me like a truck.

“Come on, I want to get you alone,” I say after taking a quick shower, leading her outside past the rumbling buses to where my driver waits.

In the back of the SUV, I keep my arm wrapped firmly around Monroe’s shoulders, needing to maintain contact after being apart for so long. Her warmth pressed against my side is the only thing keeping me grounded right now. Otherwise, I’d probably float away.

We pull up to the towering hotel where most of the crew is staying. Maneuvering through the lobby proves interesting, with some fans lingering and hoping for autographs. Monroe shrinks against me at the attention, and I pull her closer protectively.

“Almost there,” I murmur, glaring at anyone encroaching on our space. I just need to get her alone.

On our floor, the halls echo with raucous laughter and music blaring from other rooms. I swipe us into my suite and close the door to all the noise, leaving the world behind us.

“Home sweet home, at least for tonight,” I say, kicking off my boots. I ordered a lavish room service spread earlier to be here waiting for us when we arrived. The whole shebang. Champagne, chocolate-dipped fruit, and other decadent treats. Monroe takes it all in, eyes wide.

“Wow, the rockstar life, huh?”

I wrap my arms around her from behind, breathing in the floral scent of her hair. “It has its perks, but believe me, this luxury is not the norm. And, none of it compares to this...” I trail kisses down the curve of her neck as she melts back against me. “I’ve been dying to get you alone all night.”

Our kisses grow heated as we shed clothes piece by piece. I trace my lips across her collarbone, relearning the contours of her body. She arches into my touch, fingers twisting in my hair. I’ve missed her silky skin under my hands, and the little gasps and sighs I can pull from her.

I pour all of my loneliness and need into loving her, determined to make this night unforgettable.

My fingers find her saturated and slippery with desire for me, which only makes me harder, my erection straining painfully for release inside her. She fists me boldly, pumping me with her smooth hands, driving me crazy.

Gently pushing me onto the bed, she takes control, straddling me. I’m happy to share the reigns as she teases me passionately, our emotions clear in every touch, every taste.
