I felt Damian’s eyes on me the entire time I did lazy strokes across the rectangular pool. He stood at the shallow end, arms resting on the edge, watching me. I stole glances at him too. Damian in swim trunks was a hell of a distraction. His wet skin gleamed under the sun, accentuating his biceps, chest, and rippling abs. He looked like a model on the cover of one of those men’s fitness magazines. Absolutely drool-worthy…

I was out of breath, even though it was more from the sight of him than from swimming, so I stopped. “You haven’t done much swimming,” I noted.

His eyebrows hiked up. “I’m too busy,” his gaze raked over my torso, “enjoying the view.”

The cool water did nothing to stop my body temperature from rising. Since I felt like my old self again, my playful side came out. Smiling, I swam over to him, close enough so we were almost touching.

“I’ve been enjoying the view too,” I said, giving him a once-over smoldering enough to rival the way he’d been looking at me.

His lips lifted slightly at the corners.

“But,” I continued, “I think it’s time we do more than just look.”

“Really?” His eyes danced with amusement. “What else do you suggest we do?”

I shrugged. “I’ve never made love in a pool.”

His nostrils flared on a sharp intake of breath when I stepped closer, and my breasts grazed his chest. I bit my lip to suppress my smile. Teasing Damian like this, watching him barely hang on to his control, was fun. Knowing I had this effect on him was flattering.

“Then we should remedy that,” he said, staring at my mouth. But he didn’t make a move to kiss me.

“We should.” His muscles twitched under my touch when I slid my palms over his chest and down to his stomach. Moving my hands over him was like caressing silk over steel. Every inch of him was hard. Toned to perfection.

His eyes, still focused on my mouth, darkened with lust as he lowered his head. My breath left my lungs in a whoosh before our lips touched. The effect his proximity alone had on me was insane. My body responded to his touch before he even laid a finger on me. Maybe I should be worried about what he did to me, but it was hard to feel any concern after being swept up in our fervent lip-lock.

One arm curled around my waist to lift me, and my legs circled him. He tugged the strings holding my bikini top up, letting my breasts spill free. He gazed at the globes hungrily. Then he took one in his hand.

I pulled in a sharp breath as he caressed and then lightly pinched my nipple. I arched into him, wanting more of his touch.

“We’ll go nice and slow later,” he promised. “Right now, I need to be inside you.” His voice was strained as if he was already at the end of his control.

“Okay,” I breathed. Hot and fast was what I needed right now.
