Write down what the three most important work and leisure priorities in your life are. They must be put somewhere visible such as your phone lockscreen or workspace wall.

Track your time for a week. To track it, you could use an app on your phone, or go the traditional way and write in a journal.

Download a calendar app that syncs between your phone and computer.

Download a to-do list app. On this app, create separate lists for the day, week and month. Every night create a to-do list for the following day and prioritize 5-3 of the most important tasks as 1, 2, or 3.

Have your daily time chunking plan from your calendar viewable at all times. Either print it out or have it visible on your personal computer.

Use notifications from your computer calendar to alert you when you move on to the next block. Set all your reminders to go off at the same time that the calendar event ends. This is because you don’t want to be checking the time as it interrupts the flow of your work. If you need time to prepare for the next focus block, plan a preparatory time beforehand.

At the end of your work day plan your next day by doing all chores, set up your clothes, and lunch. Then make a list of your 3-5 priorities for the next day.

Start a productivity journal. Write down everything you complete that brings you closer to your goal. Have separate sections each project and sub sections for tracking goal work and maintenance work. Schedule weekly reviews and check to make sure that you are fulfilling your top three life priorities.

On Sunday night, plan your following week. For each task, set up a reward that you will receive at the completion, as mentioned in chapter 2. The goal is to do less work with more focus.
