Tay pulled up in Anson’s truck and got out. I was in my room putting on some make-up. I usually didn’t wear make-up but since it was my eighteenth, I decided to be extra cute today. She walked up the stairs on her phone but got off once she entered my room.

“Hey, birthday girl; you look cute.”

“Thank you, you do, too.”

“Girl,” she said, falling down on the bed. “So I’m thinkin’ we can go get us somethin’ cute to wear and go out to a club tonight.”

“That sounds cool to me.”

“Alright, so I’m finna text everybody and tell them we going out and to meet us at my house.”

“I plan on having fun tonight. I hope someone can get us some drinks.”

“Oh, trust. I will find someone to get us somethin’. We have to turn up cause my girl legal.”

“Hell yeah.”

“Let me see yo phone. I need to get some numbers out of there.”

I passed her my phone as I got up to grab my purse. I took a look in the mirror and I was ready.
